The sounds of our Buenos Aires

Hey!

We created this playlist with songs that remind us of what it's like to live in Buenos Aires and to be a part of this city.

This playlist reflects the indie and rock and roll scene from the 1980s to contemporary music, and covers places like Mendoza, La Plata and of course Buenos Aires!

Why don't you hit play and scroll down to learn about our culture or check out our music section to learn about tango and other musical styles?

More about music

Let's enjoy today!

Argentines embrace the now and appreciate friends and family in a very intense way. We never know what tomorrow holds, so let's enjoy today!

In Buenos Aires it's common to go out with friends and family weekly, and to host people in our homes when money's tight, cooking together and drinking some Argentine wine. You can tell that we are people's people very easily: we keep the smallest personal distance in any culture, and we always greet each other with a kiss on our right cheek (just one! we aren't European!).

Late night owls

People from Buenos Aires are definitely night creatures. Don't expect much to be open before 10am, so sleep in and save your energies for the night vibes of the city.

Head to Plaza Dorrego Thu-Sun to see locals and tourists hanging in the park, playing instruments and drinking, or visit Corrientes Avenue to see a play and later grab some late night pizza at Guerrín, Las Cuartetas or Banchero. If you want to experience the nightclub scene, head to Niceto Ave. where there's reggaeton, house, rock and pop dance halls. You'd rather be by the river? Then head to the Costanera Sur on warm nights and grab a fernet from one of the bike-bartenders and chill by the Ecological Reserve. If you want to do a century-old classic, go to a milonga to practice those tango moves!
